Programs — innovations + excellence
Beaufort Secondary College has an extremely good working relationship with the local primary schools. In 2005 four schools joined up as apart of the Innovations and Excellence initiative. Beaufort Secondary College, Beaufort Primary School, Trawalla Primary School and Buangor Primary School comprise the Beaufort and District Cluster (also called the Connect 4 Cluster) and are in the process of implementing the “Gatehouse Project” (aimed at promoting greater connection of students to their community, and social competency, as part of the Innovation and Excellence Program).
Cluster focus
To implement programs and strategies that will focus on developing social competencies and lead to improvement in
student achievement.

- Student engagement with focus on boys
- Social competency and self esteem
- Attendance
- Retention
- Literacy and numeracy achievement
- Supporting parents to become active partners in their child’s education
