Although a fair distance to the east of other participating schools, Beaufort Secondary College is part of the Wimmera Virtual Schools Project. The aim of the project is to increase the VCE subject offerings to students in the member schools and therefore reduce any curriculum access problems experienced by students in rural schools.
Students studying VCE subjects as part of the Wimmera Virtual Schools Project do so by way of “blended learning”. In other words, their learning occurs via video conferencing, using on-line using strategies such as the use of Skype and a locally devised “Moodle”, as well as email.
In 2010 Beaufort Secondary College has one student studying Chemistry 3/4 (delivered by Dimboola Memorial Secondary College) and one student studying Specialist Mathematics 3/4 (delivered by Warracknabeal Secondary College)
