2019 Debutante Ball

2019 Debutante Ball

The recent Beaufort Secondary College Parents and Friends Association Debutante Ball was a resounding success. The ball was sold out with 300 people enjoying the elegant night in the Beaufort Town Hall.

The ball for students in Year 10 and 11 saw 32 students take part in the presentations, supported by 2 junior couples.  The couples were presented to School Principal, Mr. Karl Schier, Member for Ripon, Louise Staley and Mayor of the Pyrenees Shire, Cr. Robert Vance.

The girls all looked beautiful in their full-length white gowns and their partners were debonair in black suits with silver waistcoats.  Following their presentation to the official party the debutantes performed 5 dances; Modern Waltz, Cha Cha, Meringe, Progressive Jive and then the Pride of Erin with their parents.  The students were trained for eight weeks by Ms. Shelley Ross of The Dance Studio Ballarat.

The hall was decorated in the theme of an enchanted forest with the colours of teal and silver.

The participants and guests relaxed following the presentations with a lavish supper served by Camlyn Catering and music by Stawell band ‘No Plans’.

Beaufort Secondary College Parents and Friends congratulate all the participants for their flawless presentation and thank all those who attended the night and all the volunteers who helped make the night a success.
